Lovely old, 1870 I think. hotel, in nice setting on the outskirts of Banchory. We had a lovely, large characterful room, worth a few pounds extra. This isn't a modern hotel, so expect the old fashioned radiators, older fashioned decor etc, but lots of character, open fires, friendly staff, very comfortable. Food wasn't bad either.

Lovely hotel, very professional staff. Food was good and great selection of spirits. Rooms are welcoming and free use of the gym next door is a great bonus. I would stay again.
I have recently had the pleasure to stay at this hotel for a few days. The place was very comfortable and the food was very much to my taste. The daily smoked haddock for breakfast served by Karen was a special treat. Sadly it was her day off on the day of my departure so I could never thank her personally which I do now. Thank you Karen.
