One of the best afternoon teas I have ever had! They have managed to put their own twist on it, and the result is scrumptious!! You'll definitely need a doggy bag to go, you get so much food for such a reasonable price!!
Fine enough coffee and cake but it's not exactly service with a smile. The actual waitress we had was OK but the person receiving folks to be seated and to pay the bill at the end could be much friendlier. There was also annoying things like you don't get a menu detailing drinks or indeed what they actually sell if you're sitting through for coffee in the conservatory area. I've never heard of not getting a menu anywhere else which made ordering a soft drink a strange experience. Also minor things like the black board says take a note of your table number to pay the bill but there were no table numbers as far as I could see. Could be a better experience with more effort
Stopped for lunch and this place did not disappoint. Wonderful atmosphere. Attentive staff with local tips and ideas of what to do but also about their produce.

A beautiful location right on the river Dee. Great for a coffee and homemade cakes and scones. The lunch menu looks and smells excellent, although I'm yet to try. The staff have always been friendly when I've visited and they deliver excellent service.
